Question Indicative answer
Many of the burl items I see in shops and on the Internet have Polyuretane finish. Why do you use this material only for a few of your items? We much prefer a wax finish. Polyurethane is a plastic that actually hides many of the natural characteristics. However, if the item is intended for fruit bowls and other uses where food acids can stain the timber, we do use polyurethane. For decorative items, nothing compares with natural oils and waxes to bring up the highlights of grain and texture.
Can I specify the finish and colour I want ? You are best advised to trust the skills of our craftsmen to prepare the item for optimium visual and practical results.
What if there are splits and cracks in the bowl I have purchased? Tmber is absolutely natural, meaning the wood is as it grew on the tree, so such "defects" are a natural part of this. Of course, if the item is broken in transit, that is a different matter, please refer to TERMS & CONDITIONS AND CONTACT US to discuss what action can be taken
I see you are in NSW, but I am located interstate/overseas. Can I still purchase? Yes. Within Australia, Australia Post is our preferred supplier. For selial delivery arrangements, please CONTACT US before placing your order.
What will be the delivery charge? Delivery charges are based upon the weight and size of the item and the delivery destination, plus a small packaging and handling fee where appropriate. The calculation will be made automatically by our shopping cart when you purchase
Can I get a refund if I am unhappy with my purchase? Unfortunately not, so please choose carefully.
Can I visit your studio? Our products are hand crafted on our fairly remote rural property. Many are stored there or they may be with our despatch centre in Sydney so it is really is not feasible. However, we will gladly email additional photographs to you, upon request.
